Odoo Server Migration
Move providers, move OS versions, or leave Odoo.sh, without a long outage
Moving a live Odoo instance, to a new provider, a new OS version, or off Odoo.sh onto your own server, carries real risk if it is treated as a quick copy-paste job. Database and filestore have to move together and stay in sync, DNS has to cut over cleanly, and you need a real rollback plan in case something is wrong post-migration.
- Pre-migration audit of the source server: OS, Odoo version, custom modules, backup history
- Fresh target server provisioned and fully configured, validated independently before any data moves
- Database and filestore migration with checksummed transfer, never a partial copy
- A parallel testing window on the new server before DNS cutover
- Low-TTL DNS cutover with a holdback period on the old server before decommissioning
From $250 (single server) or $150/server (fleet)

Will there be downtime during the migration?
We plan for zero business-hours downtime using a parallel-build-then-cutover approach: the old server stays live and serving traffic until the new one is fully validated.
Can you migrate us off Odoo.sh onto our own server?
Yes, this is a specific migration path we run regularly. See our dedicated write-up for the exact steps we follow.
What if something goes wrong after cutover?
We hold the old server for a defined period after cutover specifically so a rollback is possible if something unexpected surfaces, this is written into the migration plan up front, not improvised after the fact.
