Odoo Version Upgrade
Version-to-version upgrades with a rehearsed cutover, not a live gamble
Skipping upgrades feels safe until the version you are on falls out of support entirely, or a critical bug has no more patches coming. The upgrade itself is not the risky part when it is planned properly, an untested, rushed upgrade under deadline pressure is the actual risk.
- Full inventory of custom modules and integrations, categorised by upgrade risk
- Database upgrade run against a copy, never directly against production
- Staging environment build and a real testing period, not a click-through check
- Custom module fixes and re-testing where the upgrade tooling flags conflicts
- A single planned production cutover with a rehearsed and tested rollback plan
From $400 (fixed-price upgrade package, 5 to 7 days)

Odoo 13 through 19
How long does a typical version upgrade take?
A lightly customised instance can be done in about a week. Heavily customised instances with many integrations typically need six to eight weeks for proper staging testing.
Can you upgrade across multiple versions at once, for example 13 to 19?
Yes, Odoo's upgrade tooling supports jumping directly to a target version without stepping through every intermediate release.
What happens to my custom modules during an upgrade?
Each one gets reviewed and categorised by risk, then individually tested against the upgraded database before the production cutover. Nothing goes live untested.
